Singapore Youth Festival 2012

The Singapore Youth Festival 2012 has finally reached a close. We are happy to announce that our school achieved the following results:

Chinese Dance: Silver

International Dance: Gold with Honours

Indian Dance: Silver

Concert Band: Silver

Choir: Silver

The pupils, teachers and instructors all put in a lot of hard work and time to achieve the above results. During the many hours of practices, the pupils gained valuable skills like determination, resilience and time management. Friendships were also forged and deepened and most importantly, despite the long hours, the pupils enjoyed the learning process. The school is very proud of the girls and their achievements. Two thumbs up!!!

MOE Zonal Outreach Seminar

On 25 February 2012 (Saturday), our school participated in the MOE Zonal Outreach Seminar for Parents held at St Andrew's Junior School. The aim of the seminar was to provide parents (who will be enrolling their children in Primary 1) with more information about the various schools' key programmes. Our school showcased our niche area, Aesthetics, as well as our P1 PAL (Programme for Active Learning).  Our exhibition booth was well-received and parents were especially impressed with our Primary 2 pupils who presented the P1 PAL experience to them.

The hands-on art workshop conducted by our parent volunteer, Brenda Fernandez, was also a big hit with parents and children alike. All in all, we would like to thank the parents for visiting our booth and for giving very encouraging and positive feedback with regards to our programmes. We hope to see you at the Primary 1 registration!
